Lloyd’s List Global 2009 Awards M/T AEGEAN ANGEL – WINNER OF THE AMVER-ASSISTED RESCUE AT SEA AWARD


The 11-men crew of the Korean flagged cargo vessel “TEL TALE II” were forced to abandon the ship which was sank 300 miles south of Puerto Rico on 16 April 2008. The “AEGEAN ANGEL” responded to an Amver callout and was diverted to the scene to provide assistance to the distressed mariners. The “TEL TALE II” crew was safely rescued thanks to the prompt reaction by the crew of AEGEAN ANGEL and communication with Amver Command Center.
