A Forum titled “Latest Developments in Ships’ Stability and Sub-Division” was successfully held at the National Centre for Further Education of Merchant Marine Officers (KESEN) on Thursday 13th of December 2012, co-organized by the Commander of the Centre Captain (H.C.G.) Stamatios Kalogeiton, the Director of the Deck Officers’ Department Merchant Marine Captain Emmanouil Koukios in association with appointed Stability Trainer / Merchant Marine Captain Pavlos Savvopoulos and ARCADIA SHIPMANAGEMENT CO LTD Training Manager Merchant Marine Captain Apostolos Skempes.

Sponsor of the event was ARCADIA SHIPMANAGEMENT CO LTD.

The 400 seat auditorium of KESEN, was filled with Deck Officers of all Classes, who came to participate and be informed on the latest developments into such a critical area of the Shipping profession.

The outcome of the Forum was highly evaluated by all the participants.

A lot of important guests attended the forum, including Captain P. Dandolos representing the Hellenic Merchant Marine Ministry, Mr. K. Korontzis representing the Merchant Marine Officers’ Education Division, Captain G. Vlachos President of Hellenic Deck Officers’ Union and other Shipping Industry Members.

C) Mr Ioannis Roustanis, Head of Engineering & Survey Services ABS MARITIME SERVICES HELLAS who presented the subject «RRDA - Rapid Response Damage Assessment ».
